Longer working lives call for a different way of thinking about careers. That is why we developed The Perennial Career Framework®. A perennial career moves through cycles of growth, pause, renewal, and reinvention. Each cycle builds on the one before it, carrying forward our experience, relationships, and wisdom while allowing our work to evolve alongside us.

We created What’s Next to make career transitions less isolating, more purposeful, and joyful.

What's Next began with a conversation that neither of us could let go of. What happens when people live and work longer, but our ideas about careers remain rooted in a different era?

We built What's Next Initiative to develop a new way of thinking about careers in the age of longevity. A platform grounded in research, honest about the challenges of transition, and built around the belief that reinvention is not a fallback. In the age of longevity, work has many lives.
